About Us
Council Collective is a group of dedicated and passionate individuals who work tirelessly to advance the agricultural industry. Steve Council began the company in 2016 when he recognized the significant knowledge gap between legacy growers and new commercial businesses emerging through state legalization efforts around the USA. He knew that between himself and a few of his close friends, they could bring decades of experience to groups who are struggling or just beginning their journey in the industry.
It was important to him to continue learning and he spent time working on larger and more complex cultivations. He then began consulting internationally and saw a tremendous need for high-level industry knowledge in new markets. Working with groups in dozens of countries he felt it was time to revamp Council Collective in order to serve the needs of companies in emerging markets around the world. Council Collective currently touches millions of square feet of canopy globally through its consulting efforts, and more importantly, are actively training the next generation of cultivation professionals.
Like many businesses, we started off as a group of friends that shared a common interest; a passion for the plant. By applying our skills, we recognized our role in helping evolve the industry. We gained knowledge through years of dedicated service and diligent study of methods and procedures. Our Senior Consultants have successfully designed, built and operated large scale professional agricultural operations in indoor, outdoor, and mixed-light facilities. Let our experience work for you.
